 Carolyn Gammicchia's Community Involvement
Though Carolyn and her husband worked full time, they still found the time to be very involved within as volunteers in many areas.  Volunteering weekly with their sons' school literacy program to assist struggling readers, to assisting with committtee representation on several country education groups and state PACs as well, they have shown how important parental involvement is.  Carolyn has served on several boards of local, state, and national agencies and non-profit organizations.  Her efforts have often guided policy within those organizations and assisted others in many ways.

Always a sound collaborator looking for solutions, Carolyn's community volunteerism has resulted in being acknowledged with several awards and recognitions she is very proud of.  However she and her husband are most proud of the accomplishments of their two sons and their volunteer efforts.  Both have been recognized locally and by national organizations for assisting others and giving back to their communities.

Carolyn also has worked very hard to bring a voice that is heard to individuals who are more vulnerable.  Focusing on the area of victims of crime with disabilities, whose cases are often only prosecuted 3% of the time, Carolyn has personally affected change on a national level to ensure all victims have a chance to be provided equal justice.

The documents below are examples of some of the materials Carolyn  co-authored and projects she has personally been involved in and highlight her work.
